How I Passed From Death Into Life
(John 5:24)

I used to be a helpless, hopeless, hell bound sinner (Romans 5:6; Ephesians 2:12; Matthew 7:13; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11)...

Then Jesus Christ found me and saved me when I placed my faith in Him for my eternal salvation. It was all of grace [totally undeserved] (Luke 19:10; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8,9). I believe that He died for my sins, was buried, and rose again bodily, and was seen by over 500 witnesses before ascending back to heaven with a promise to return for me (1 Corinthians 15:3-8; Acts 1:9-11; John 14: 3).

Now I am a child of God, an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Jesus Christ (Romans 8:15-17). I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ (Ephesians 1:3). I am part of the spiritual body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12:12,13) and have a unique spiritual gift (1 Peter 4:10) and an important function in it (1 Corinthians 12:21). I can do all things through Him who strengthens me (Philippians 4:13).

As a New Testament priest (I Peter 2:5,9), I am called upon to offer up to God spiritual sacrifices which include my body (Romans 12:1,2), my praise and thanksgiving, along with doing good and sharing what I have (Hebrews 13:15,16).

No longer do I have to obey my former masters: the devil and my old sin nature (1 Peter 5:8,9; Romans 6:14). I am free to serve Christ and can be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live victoriously over the devil, the world system, and my old sin nature (Galatians 5:16; Ephesians 5:18; 6:10-17).
Nothing can separate me from the love of God. I am safe and secure in God's hands (Romans 8:35; John 10:28,29).

My future is as bright as the promises of God. I will spend eternity with Jesus Christ who is preparing a place for me and all other true Christians (John 14:1-3). I, along with all other Christians, will become the bride of Christ and will rule and reign with Him (Ephesians 5:32; 2 Timothy 2:12).
