How To Pray - (Communicating With God)

Confession-Acknowledging your personal sins by naming them to God. 1 John 1:9

Supplication-Making a request when the need or object is unknown. A cry for help. Ephesians 6:18

Intercession-Pleading for or against known objects or needs. 1 Timothy 2:1

Asking in Jesus' name-Asking for a known object as if Christ were asking for you. John 14:13

Thanksgiving-Expressing gratitude to God for past, present, and future benefits. Ephesians 5:20

Praise-Appreciating some aspect of God's character which was responsible for the benefits you received. Hebrews 13:15

Worship-Knowing who God is, give back to Him His full worth. Revelation 4:9,10

Vow-Promising to accomplish a specific thing which the Holy Spirit has moved the heart to do. James 5:15
