Our
Backgrounds
Kelsey's parents and maternal grandparents
were missionaries in Japan for many years. Kelsey was born
in Turlock, CA during World War II. He went with his parents
to Japan after the War and spent the next 14 years there.
He struggled with many questions about life, how he could
be sure of heaven, and how he could have victory over
sin in his life. He came to have assurance of salvation
when he was in his second year of college. He attended
Pillsbury Baptist Bible College in Owatonna, MN and later
the San Francisco Baptist Theological Seminary from which
he was graduated in 1969.
Janet's parents were in the pastorate
for many years in Minnesota and her father was on Christian
radio too. She was saved when she was six years old.
Kelsey and Janet Pietsch helped start a church in Pacifica,
CA while Kelsey was in seminary. They then helped rescue
a church in Southern California.
From
there they went back to the mid-west for 25 years where
they pastored churches in Wisconsin, Iowa, and Kansas.
They came back to California in the fall of 1999 to start
churches here.
Kelsey
and Janet currently reside in Paso Robles, CA and have
four grown children.
Our
Purpose Statement
Our purpose is to glorify God by bringing
people to the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and membership
in a Bible believing local church, developing them into
Christ-like maturity, equipping
them for their work of ministry and
their mission of reproducing
other believers in order to magnify God.
